The 2026/2027 school year has begun!

In Bolesławiec, the new school year comes with significant changes, as today four School and Preschool Teams are operating in our city.

At the School and Preschool Complex No. 4 in Bolesławiec, formed by the merger of Primary School No. 4 and Preschool No. 2 and 5, the first bell rang twice. The first school assembly, organized for grades 1-3, took place at 9 AM on the field at Brody Street. After singing the national anthem, the school principal, Maria Subik, not only officially welcomed everyone gathered in the new school year but also conducted the initiation of the first graders into students by placing a traditional pencil on each of their shoulders. In accordance with decades-old school tradition, the new students also underwent a special "trial" to become "sailors" - this fact was sanctioned by the god of the sea, Neptune, who arrived at the assembly accompanied by two nymphs.

Meanwhile, at 10:30 AM in the gymnasium of the school building on Bielska Street, a brief assembly for students in grades 4-8 was held. After singing the anthem and official greetings, students were reminded that starting today, there is a ban on using mobile phones and other communication devices in primary schools.

- Today we say goodbye to the primary school of mobile phones, and welcome the school of building relationships - said the school principal to those gathered.

Students were also informed that the exact rules regarding the introduction of the ban on mobile phone use in school - imposed from above by the Ministry of National Education - will also be developed with their participation.
