They are dismantling the old bridge. A new one will be built in its place

The reconstruction of the crossing over the Bóbr River in Bolesławiec is picking up pace. After redirecting traffic to the new bridge, the contractor has started dismantling the old structure.

The reconstruction of DK94 in Bolesławiec is entering the next phase. After the opening of the new bridge, traffic has been shifted to the new crossing, and the contractor has begun the demolition of the old bridge over the Bóbr.

A new bridge will be built on the site of the old structure. This way, upon completion of the investment, drivers will have two parallel crossings over the river at their disposal. Each of them will have two lanes of traffic. Infrastructure for pedestrians and cyclists will also be created.

The layout of the roads around the bridges will also change. New turbo roundabouts have been planned, including in the area of Widok Street, as well as the reconstruction of the roundabout at Zgorzelecka Street. The modernization will also include the intersections of DK94 with Spacerowa and the municipal road.

Drivers and pedestrians will also gain new sidewalks, bike paths, bus bays, lighting, and solutions aimed at improving safety.

The reconstruction covers approximately 600 meters of the national road. The investment is expected to be completed in the second half of 2027.
