80 years of tradition, work, and commitment. The anniversary of the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship in Bolesławiec was celebrated at the Forum cinema.

On October 3rd, a ceremonial celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship took place at the Forum cinema in Bolesławiec. It was a special day for the people who, for decades, have contributed to our city with their work, knowledge, and entrepreneurship. The event featured music, emotions, medals, prestigious awards, and many distinguished guests.

Among the attendees were the Deputy Voivode of Lower Silesia, a member of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Board, the Bolesławiec County Starost, the President of Bolesławiec, parliamentarians, representatives of local government, and the head of the Lower Silesian crafts organization. There were also representatives from local institutions, entrepreneurs, teachers, craftsmen, and friends of the Bolesławiec Guild.

The large presence of representatives from public and economic life demonstrated how important a part of the local community crafts are. For 80 years, Bolesławiec craftsmen have not only practiced their trades but also created jobs, developed local businesses, educated youth, and contributed to the economic development of the city and the county.

Guests arriving at the Forum cinema were welcomed by a brass band and a folk ensemble. The ceremony had a solemn yet very warm character. There were official speeches, memories, expressions of gratitude, and moments of emotion.

One of the most important moments of the jubilee was the honoring of Stanisław Brzozowski, who received from the Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts represented by the head Zbigniewa Łaziński  the Jan Kiliński Saber and was appointed Knight of the Jan Kiliński Saber. This exceptional distinction is a recognition of his many years of work and commitment to the development of the crafts community.

Urszula Róg received a gavel with the Platinum Medal of Jan Kiliński. During the ceremony, many other medals, awards, and distinctions were also presented. Among those honored were distinguished craftsmen and teachers, including Mirosław Senyszyn, who prepare young people every day to acquire a profession and enter the job market.

It is thanks to such individuals that craftsmanship can pass on its knowledge and tradition to the next generations.

During the jubilee, Kazimierz Marczewski, editor of Bolec.Info, presented a glass statuette to the Senior of the Guild Grażyna Matczak on the occasion of its 80th anniversary. He emphasized that craftsmen from Bolesławiec have significantly contributed to the development of Bolesławiec for decades. Their work, entrepreneurship, and commitment are an important part of the city's history.

The editor of Bolec.Info also declared that the portal would continue to support Bolesławiec craftsmen media-wise, showcasing their work, achievements, companies, and the people behind local entrepreneurship.

The jubilee was also an opportunity to remind everyone that behind the history of the Guild are primarily people – masters, journeymen, apprentices, teachers, and entrepreneurs. For eight decades, they opened their workshops and businesses every day, taught their trades, took the risk of running their own companies, and built their local community through their work.

80 years of the Guild is not just a beautiful history. It is also a commitment for the future. In a world of new technologies and a rapidly changing economy, a good craftsman is still invaluable. That is why it is so important for young people to have the opportunity to acquire specific professions, and for experienced masters to pass on their knowledge to them.

The anniversary at the Forum cinema showed that the craftsmanship in Bolesławiec has strong foundations, a vast legacy, and many people who want to continue developing it.In recognition of outstanding contributions to the development of the city of Bolesławiec, in 2018 the City Council awarded the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship in Bolesławiec the title of “Meritorious for the City of Bolesławiec”

The Bolesławiec Guild of Various Crafts began its activities as the Collective Guild of Crafts for the city and county in July 1946. From the very beginning of its operations, the Guild, through the craftsmen associated with it, actively participated in the reconstruction and subsequent expansion of the city. Currently, the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Entrepreneurship in Bolesławiec conducts extensive activities to strengthen community ties, build local identity, and improve professional qualifications.

We congratulate the Guild on its beautiful 80th anniversary and wish all Bolesławiec craftsmen many more years of success, job satisfaction, and new generations of masters and professionals.
