Renovation of Road 357 to Nowogrodziec. Over 2.6 km of new asphalt towards Radogoszcz

The contractor for the renovation of provincial road no. 357 in Nawojów Łużycki has been selected. The investment of over 5.4 million PLN will cover the section towards Radogoszcz.

Drivers from Bolesławiec, Nowogrodziec, and the surrounding areas of Lubań are facing important work on provincial road No. 357. The tender for the renovation of the section in Nawojów Łużycki, on the route Lubań – Nowogrodziec, has been resolved. The modernization will cover 2.658 km of the road leading towards Radogoszcz.

The tender procedure was concluded on October 1, 2026. The most favorable offer was recognized as that of the consortium of companies URBIT J. MICHALIK Sp. K. and P.P.S. BITUM Piotr Smulczyński Budowa i remont dróg. The value of the winning bid is 5,424,009.11 PLN gross. Four bids were submitted in the tender, with prices ranging from approximately 5.42 million PLN to 7.94 million PLN gross. The contracting authority planned to allocate 8,259,685 PLN gross for the execution of the task.

The contractor will have 8 months to complete all work from the date of signing the contract. The warranty for construction work will be 60 months from the final acceptance, and the warranty for the thick-layer horizontal marking will cover 36 months.

The scope of work will include the replacement of the surface, the elimination of cracks, voids, and deformations of the roadway. A new substructure will also be constructed on most of the renovated section. A particularly important section is from kilometer 29+300 to kilometer 29+800, where road workers will remove damage caused by the flood in September 2024.

The renovation will also include access roads to properties and fields, the surface in the area of intersections, and shoulders, which will be leveled and hardened with aggregate. The work includes the renewal of drainage ditches, the regulation and replacement of stormwater inlet grates, as well as the reconstruction of culverts under the road and access roads.

"The section from the community center in Nawojów Łużycki to the border with Radogoszcz will be renovated. What pleases me the most is that as part of the work, culverts under the road and access roads will be constructed, as this is a key issue for proper drainage," says Aleksandra Łasica, councilor of the Lubań Municipality.

In Nawojów Łużycki, two bus bays will also be renovated along with platforms and adjacent sidewalks. New road barriers and protective railings will appear in the area of the pedestrian bridge and at the culverts.

For the residents of the Bolesławiec region, the renovation of provincial road No. 357 is significant primarily due to the connection between Nowogrodziec and Lubań and the towns located along this route. A critical section running directly through Radogoszcz to the border with Lubań still needs to be completed.

"I am actively monitoring the situation regarding road 357 and raise it at every possible opportunity. Intensive preparations are underway to continue work in the area of Radogoszcz, and thanks to the goodwill of the provincial authorities and the readiness of DSDiK, there is a real chance to complete this investment," says Lubań County Mayor Zbigniew Zjawin.
